Yes, hello.
I did it. I can’t afford it, but I did it. I signed up for Main Marketing Event 4 (hereinafter “MME4″) at the last moment, and my journey from “3-year internet marketing customer” to Taking Action Man begins.
I will attempt to chronicle my adventure here. My goal is to update daily.
My “name” is Ender D. And this could be a story of success and redemption, or a cautionary tragedy. Thus the drama.
My wife of 14 years has filed for divorce, though I’m still living in the house until I can find a place to move and to house my 3 sons every other week. And, I look for a job to pay for such a place. Law degrees do not magically attract employment–especially in a small midwestern town in a rural region. Meanwhile, I take care of my rambunctious 3 wunderkinder and focus … focus …
Actually, I’m rather optimistic about the MME4 sites. I’ve gotten the first almost set up–still need a seperate landing page. And the boys are with their Nonnie tonight at a church service.
Do I press on tonight through this odyssey? Or finally go see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince? At the age of 38, you’d think this an obvious choice. But, particularly if you’ve read Harry Potter, you know that the “obvious” is, at best, dubious. I think this holds true in internet marketing (“IM”) as well. (All abbreviations, once introduced, are assumed to be in no need of explanation in later posts.)
As Andrew Bird (who I hope to see live in September at the Murat with my old friend Dave) casually sings: “Soldier on ….”
For now,
Ender D.
